Material tests on the 5th gen Makerbot

I had a extruder that MB has given up on so i drilled out the horror clog and tried some samples. They are from 3d filaprint if they are not MB PLA.
I did a test object "Yoda 40 mm hollow on square base".
It has a square base to provoke warping.
It has details in the ears that is down to 0-wall.
It has meshmixer supports and pac-mec shapes on the corners plus one at right side to serve as first layer abort check.
The cube is 20x20x10mm so the test object i quite small.

Here it is in 3dfilaprint yellow ABS (235C and slowed down to 20mm/sec with dynamic speed and upped FeedMultiplier to 1.2)

Also less successful blue ABS (same settings apart from feed multiplier)

The cube is a 20x20x10mm calibration cube

Here in red star T-glase on special setting as per Taulman reccomendations (0.36 layer height !)

I did some other great looking stuff with this material that i will share soon - i ordered a full roll of this stuff since it was really nice.

Here some PLA versions

Yellow is my favorite and current reference
Clear is easy and forgiving but has a special look
MB Red PLA tends to delaminate and has this uneven quality sadly
Black is precise but very shiny and shows imperfections very clearly

I will do a few white ones as well...

Here are some troubleshooting pics for ABS - feel free to give advice - i will try a hotter environment...

And finally a reference from one of those nice Zcorp machines
