Nice stuff with good detail.  I think it degrades to black over time at 220C...

More Ninjaflex on the 5th gen

 Black Ninjaflex now finally stable
 Various layer heights - main issue was feed friction actually. Now at 210C overhangs and bridging works as well as retraction. The smart extruder is pretty ok for this material i think...





 This is a spool hanger and bearings i printed from thingiverse. Did wonders for stability. It seems NF and Woodfill has too much friction for the stock feed tube and drawer setup.

Taulman Bridge nylon test

Very difficult to photograph :-) This is my 40mm test yoda on square base again. He is chosen to have features that provoke warping, various overhangs and some very thin areas in the ears. The cube is 20x20x10 and the paper is in millimeters. Both were printed with pac man mouse ear shapes to control warping at 20% infill, fan off. I can't turn off the fan on first layer. First print (right) was at 245C .2mm layers and 10mm/sec outlines 30mm/s insets 50mm/s infill. Second 245C .1mm layers and 10mm/sec outlines 40mm/s insets 70mm/s infill. I think i like the 618 nylon better since the suface of this stuff is a little less slippery and soft. This should be easier to print but i think the 618 is worth the trouble. I will try Stratum 12-64 nylon next.

This was much better. I went .01 closer with the build plate and used a minute amount (1/4 to 1/6th of the area prepped) of glue stick and wiped with isopropyl alcohol in a circular movement just as the bot was doing final heating. This gives a stickiness to the blue tape without residue. Also took ambient temp up to 40C.
I got a fan open error on the first layer but just resumed...
